Will Van Wyngarden Joins Journeymen Singing Bass |
The Journeymen Quartet is proud to announce the addition of Will Van Wyngarden singing bass with the quartet,
beginning Monday August 25th. Will joins the group after Jason Brooks resigned in May to pursue other interests. Will and his wife Allison hail originally from Pella, Iowa, but currently reside in Bowling Green, KY.
Stacey Murphy, lead singer and manager for the quartet shares, "We are very excited about Will's addition to the quartet. Both his outstanding bass voice and his kind spirit
will fit our group very well. Friends in the southern gospel industry who have heard Will sing share our opinion that there is a long and bright future ahead for this young man in gospel music."
Murphy explains, "We have been blessed throughout the summer with friends such as Kevin Waters, formerly of N'Harmony, and David Grant, our former
long-time bass, filling in with us as we waited on God to send just the right man to join our ministry. Will shares our commitment to present traditional
quartet music with professionalism and integrity. Our focus remains the same; to encourage Christians everywhere and to win the lost to Christ. We anticipate great days ahead as we serve the Lord together."
The next several weeks will be busy ones for Will and The Journeymen. Will's first week with the quartet will have him singing at two major annual southern
gospel events, the Gospel Music Television World Premiere in Pigeon Forge, TN and the Blue Mountain Gospel Festival in Kempton, PA. One week later
will find Will and the group appearing twice on the main stage at the National Quartet Convention in Louisville, KY.
The next time you see The Journeymen, be sure to come by and welcome Will
to the family. You may also send an email to Will to welcome him to the group.
